How long will you stay to take photography at our event?
We generally will set up prior to your social hours and stay right up until dancing begins. We always have the DJ announce a last call for photography prior to tearing down. Stays beyond this time can be accommodated if requested in advance. For larger events we have stayed until we have accommodated all wanting our services. We will not close down if we have patrons still requesting portrait sessions.

Is payment due at the event or after you receive the photos?
Yes, all payments are due at time of service. In some cases we have photographed clients who promised to pay after they go to their car to retrieve their payment. If payment is never received the images will not be printed.
Is there a way to pay afterwards?
Yes, if you pay a $10.00 portrait fee you can take advantage of ordering after the event online. Orders are all a-la-cart, and are higher that the at the event discounted pricing.
Do you deliver prints at the event?
No. We have looked into onsite printing and found the quality and longevity of the image to be poor. In addition, the logistics and staffing requirements would cause the cost of packages to increase. All our images are produced at a professional lab on photo archive papers.
Are our images printed at a professional lab?
Yes, our images are printed at one of our three professional labs, Millers professional imaging, H&H Color lab, Pounds Color lab. They are not produced at Wal-Mart’s.
How long will it take to receive my images?
We will deliver or mail all images within two weeks of your event. Images can be distributed by the unit point of contact or mailed directly to you for a fee.
Can I purchase the image file to use on my Facebook page or to make prints from?
At this time there is no option to purchase image files. We do sell them for commercial use in marketing, mass media and web, but it is at a commercial rate which is much higher than your image cost here. We would entertain a commercial purchase after the fact.
Can I make copies of my images?
No, all images must be purchased from WB Photography who owns the copyright to the images. Reproduction or scanning of images is a violation of federal copyright law and is subject t a fine of $250,000.00.
Copyright is the right of ownership granted to the creator of a work, which may include, art, photos, music, books, sculptures, and other creative outlets. The use of or reproduction of without the explicit permission of the creator is illegal.
Do I get to see the images after I take them?
Yes, we preview all the images taken immediately after they are taken. You have the option to select the image you want printed or have the photographer select an image for you .
Can I re-shoot if I do not like something about the image after previewing them?
Yes, we allow limited retakes of three more images to make sure clients are satisfied with their pose or in cases of closed eyes, crooked ties, or other undesirable issues in the image.
No, each package contains only one image set. You can purchase additional images packages or add on images of a different pose.
Is there a charge to have you come to our event and provide photography?
No, for medium to large units there is not charge. The only exception is for low volume events, less than 75, in these cases we may charge a small coverage fee if the minimum number of packages purchases are not meant. That amount is currently 40 packages.
What does a minimum purchase amount mean?
We maintain a minimum purchase level to make sure our cost are covered for the event. Because we usually do not charge to be at your event.
Do I get a copy of my order form?
Yes, we provide a complete copy of your order form at time of payment.
Yes, we can perform lite retouching on one face in the image.
Images are generally delivered to the unit point of contact who will then distribute them. The second option is to have your image mailed.
Can I have my images mailed to me?
Yes. There is a fee for shipping and handling with minor restrictions to mail your images. Mailing is specified on the order form at time of payment.
How many background options can we have at our event?
We arrange our images in sets; the sets are matched to a specific floor group. Generally we would ask the unit to select between 8-12 images from our sets.
Can I take more than one background and then decide when I preview?
Yes, we ask our clients to pick between 1-3 backgrounds. They then select which image they want for their package.
How do you make the backgrounds on our images?
We use a digital background system that merges the background with the image using a special screen immediately behind the patron. The system is very unique and requires a high level of skill and training to use it effectively. This system represents a significant investment in producing one of a kind image for your guest.
Is this a green screen background?
No, unlike green screens, there is not cutting and pasting of the couple on the background. The background is captures at the same time the couple is photographed. Thus it is exactly like having a older style traditional background behind you, but with the flexibility to change to others when desired for any other photos. Thus a background change requires the couple to be photographed again on the new background.
Are you a Certified Professional Photographer?
Yes, I am a fully Certified Professional Photographer with the Professional Photographers of America. This means I have proven I have the technical competence, skill and experience to produce professional quality artistic photography. It requires extensive testing and review of my image collections by an approving board. In addition re-certification is required on a regular base to make sure I maintain and improve my skills and knowledge.
How many Balls and Events have you done?
WB Photography has been photographing Balls, proms and other events since 1997. We boost more than 380 events to date.
How large a units have you photographed?
We have photographer proms, special balls, Army and Marine Corps, Brigade and Division level events. For larger events, if large numbers above 1000 are expected we have utilized multiple camera areas.
Do you use professional equipment?
Yes, we use only the best in Nikon photographic equipment and lenses.
Can I reorder images after the event?
Yes, images can be ordered by contacting us. Image cost will be higher because it is an after the event order. In the near future we will be able to fill follow-up orders directly online.
What do you use my ima ge for as the copyright owner?
We ask all patrons to sigh a limited release that allows us to post your images on our website, use them in brochures and advertisement, or use your images in print judging and competition.
Do you keep images in case I want to order more at a later date?
We will keep images archived for a limited period of time, up to 5 years.
Can I do close up images instead of full length?
Yes, your options are full length, ¾, ½, and head and shoulders. Please specify this at the time of your photography.
How many people can be in one image?
Our background width limits us to small group shots of no more than two rows and no wider than 5 people standing close at a 45 degree angle. Large shots can be done, but will not be on the background and thus will require prior coordination.

Are you a fully active professional photographer paying state sales taxes and have a federal tax ID?
Yes, we pay sales taxes in the State of Kansas and have a federal tax ID.
Can we request a special background for our event?
Yes, if coordinated in advance, there are cases when we have created special backgrounds for unit events. We can do this because of our special background system.
Can we have titling on our images?
Yes, if the unit request special titling, it can be overlaid on images of 8x10 in size. We do however give patrons the right to ask for no titling. In most cases units only ask for titling for special events.
Can we arrange for a special payment by the unit so all at our event can have a photo taken?
Yes, we have made such arrangements in the past and negotiated a better rate due to the large number of images to be purchased.
